Rachel bridged over to junior girl scout

 
 
 
 


Here are some pictures of when Rachel bridged over to a junior girl scout. That happened on Friday. That will be her new troop. The past couple of years she was combined with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade girls. Next year there troop will be way smaller which will be nice. In my opionion the troop was way too big and it got confusing. The one other picture is when they went to the science center. Yesterday we went to Curt's house for a Memorial Day picnic. It was real nice to see everyone since we have not seen them in awhile. The one picture is of Danielle's dad Pierre and her baby Collin. Isn't he cute he is getting so big. Jason left this afternoon for Florida he went to Orlando for work for some conference. He will be back Saturday night. Nik was so sad that he left. Last night he would not talk to him because he was mad. Sunday we went to April and Matt's house for a picnic. It was nice to see everyone we have not seen them in awhile. Everyones kids are getting so big. Tomorrow we are going to Pizza Hut for dinner with my mom. Friday Kim and Jay are coming home and we are doing something with them for Rachel's B-day. Then Sunday is Devin's 3rd birthday party which is Danielle's oldest. Have a nice week it is supposed to be hot here the next couple of days in the upper 80's. I signed the kids up for swimming lessons again this summer. Rachel already knows how to swim I just want her to get better especially in the deep water. Nik does not know yet hopefully he will learn this year. At Phillips-Osborne he will take swimming there so it would be nice if he learns before he goes.

Great news

 
 
 

The great news is Jason got a raise and it was a nice one for compensating him for taking over the IT position. He will get back pay for the half of April so this will be a nice paycheck. We will have Nik's school for this year all paid for. And then we are paying off the credit cards and hopefully move out of here soon. Then hopefully they will ofer the job to Jason for good, it looks really good that he should get it. But at least he is getting compensated for it and all this hard work he is getting paid for.

Few more pictures of Nik's last day of school. Rachel's last day is June 8th and its only a half day. Rachel went for her 9 yr. old check up. She was 59 lbs and 52 1/4 inches which is 4'3" she will be passing me up soon. Nik is going to his first friend birthday party this weekend. It is the boy from his pre-k class Sam. He is so excited. Rachel has her girl scout ceremony on Friday she is bridging over from a brownie to a girl scout. We saw Shrek 3 on Saturday whith Rachel's friend Hannah. It was great very funny and the girls had a good time. Then on Sunday Rachel went with Hannah's family to see a Captains game they had fun but said it was a little boring. Jason is leaving next Tues for Florida for work. Nik is not to happy about it. Have a great week. My car is getting fixed I hopefully will get it back tomorrow.

 
 

Nik graduates pre-k

 
 
 
 

Nik has graduated pre-k he is off to kindergarten. I can't believe he is done. The weather was cold so we had their party inside at school instead of at the park like planned. The kids seemed to have lots of fun. We had all kinds of good food. They sang two nice songs for us and recieved their dipolmas. Sam's mom made a pinata and they got all kinds of goodies from that. The one picture is of all the kids including some of their brothers and sisters. They were a close class it was so nice that they were only 6 of them. The one picture of Rachel turned out really nice. This is of one of the outfits I got her for her birthday. Saturday we are taking Rachel and her friend Hannah to the movies to see Shrek 3. Rachel's 9th Birthday!!!

 
 
 
Rachel turned 9 today. She had a nice birthday. Sh got a lot of clothes but that is what she wanted. She got a lot of nice outfits from my mom. It was funny my mom and I seemed to coordinate with the outfits we bought and it was not planned. Sh got a purse and wallet also from my mom. She also got some candy. From Jason and I we got her a digital camera. It is really neat it is purple and has tinker bell on it which Rachel is really into. It can hold up to 200 pictures and came with software for the computer. We also got her this chalk sprayer and a lot of nice outfits. Nik got her a diary. The neighbor girl came over to help celebrate Rachel's birthday. I think Rachel got everything she wanted. Except she wanted a Ipod but I thought she should wait a little bit on that.

Happy Mother's Day!!

I just wanted to wish my mom and other the other great moms Happy Mother's Day!!. Today the kids and Jason are grilling hamburgers and I am getting my gifts later because I don't get Rach till four. Tomorrow is Rachel's 9th birthday!! We are having cake and presents later in the day and my mom and brother are coming over. Jason and I got Rachel a lot of neat things. She is getting to the age where she does not like toys that much. Tomorrow at Nik's school they are having an ice cream social. Thursday will be his last day as a preschooler off to kindergarten. Next year he will go 5 days and all day long. I will finally have a little peace and quiet. Have a nice day and I will have some pics of Rach's birthday soon.

Nik is a yellow belt

 
 
 
 


Nik took his yellow belt test on Tuesday. He did goood considering Sunday on the neighbors trampoline he sliced the bottom of his foot open. He had to wear a big bandage and he was not able to put any pressure on it. It is healing really good now, and he is walking on it much better. Rachel's 9th birthday is Monday!!! I can't believe she will be 9. Nik last week of school is next week. We have his end of year picnic at Vetrans park this year. Weather is great in the upper 70's to low 80's.

Car accident

Yesterday while driving in Chardon to go get Rachel I got in a car accident. Someone rear ended me in my PT Cruiser. My poor PT Crusier is all banged up. The rear bumper is cracked and messed up and the lights are cracked. My muffler seems to be loose too. Nik was in the car with me. We were all seat belted so we were ok. My back is sore but other than that we are ok. Her car seemed to get more banged up than mine and obviously she was at fault.

Rachel is better

Rachel is better, she actually went to school yesterday. I think we caught it quite early. Weather has been nice lately in the 60's all week. Nik has a pirate party at school tomorrow, he is looking forward to it. Rachel went on a field trip for girl scouts yesterday they went to the Lake Metro Parks Schoolhouse, to learn about science. They earned 2 badges for this. Tomorrow Rachel is going to a birthday party after school. Everyone is so busy. At the end of the month Jason has to go to Orlando for work for 5 days. Nik is not too happy about this. Next Tues Nik tests for his yellow belt. The next weapon they learn is the boards, which he seems excited about. These are some cute pics of when Rachel went to PA with my mom in either Nov or Dec I can't remember to visit my sister.

Rachel has strep!!!!

Well here we go again. Rachel came home from school this afternoon, I took her to the doctor and yes she has strep!! Hopefully she does not get it a second time. Her birthday is coming in 2 weeks and that would not be fun. We went to the mother/daughter spa day it was really nice. We did each others nails and makeup. She got her hair done, then we took our picture. We also made a frame to put our picture in. It was a really nice time. Izzy is fat he went from 17 lbs to 22 in one year which is a lot for him. So the vet wants me to put him on a diet.

Back to the doctor

Went to the doctor yesterday for my blood pressure it was 140/92. Top number a little better but the bottom number did not change. He put me on Hyzaar this time. Less chance of getting the coughing like the other medicine. I go back May 31st for a recheck. Everyone doing great. This Sunday we have a mother/daughter afternoon for Rachel's school. Sounds like fun painting nail, crafts and all kinds of fun things. Nik will be able to test for his yellow belt May 8th. He is doing really good. Been a rainy last couple of days. This weekend is supposed the be nicer.

Student of the week

Rachel is student of the week at school. Here are some nice pics of her family that she had to display. She had to bring on her favorite things, and something she collects which is seashells. Then at the end of the week they give a speech to the class about themselves and all the students write a letter to them. Today Rachel is at the Maple Festival in Chardon with her friend Hannah and her family. She went there right after school she was so excited. Hannah is Rachel's best friend. Tomorrow we are going to the Maple Festival Rachel has to march in the parade for Girl Scouts. It was supposed to be the weekend right after Easter but it got cancelled because Chardon had over 2 feet of snow. After the parade the kids are going to ride some rides and we will have some good fair food. My mom is going with us Jason is so busy with work and school so he needs to catch up. It's actually nice out the weather is the mid 60's.

My Birthday

Yesterday was my 31st Birthday!! I had a nice birthday. I had Chinese for dinner. Nik and Jason made a great yummy cake. It was all Nik's idea with the M and M's on it. My mom came over later after I picked up Rachel and we opened my presents and had the yummy cake. I got some running shoes, a summer purse and a top from my mom. Some socks too. The shoes are nice I used them today on the treadmill. The purse is cute its a pale blue. Jason got me an Ipod shuffle. It is great. It is very small and I can clip it on my clothes perfect for working out. It can hold up to 250 songs. I bought myself a few songs today and Jason gave me a few from his Ipod. I got everything I wanted and I had a really nice birthday. I just wish it was warmer out. It was in the 30's and cold yesterday. Its still cold today and very windy. I think I have developed allergies. My eyes are so itchy and I have a very dry stuffy nose. So I took a Zyrtec from a sample the doctor gave me awhile ago. Hopefully that helps. I scheduled my recheck for my blood pressure finally. We will see if he puts me on a different medicine. Right now I am on nothing. I have lost 2 more pounds. I am motivated for my appointment next Thursday. I am hoping loosing a little weight will make it go down some.

Update on Nik

Nik is seeming to feel better. His temp. was gone most of the day yesterday until around 3 and then it came back to 100. This morning he woke up and it was 100.8 He seems in better spirits and is back to causing trouble. We will see how the day goes. Yesterday Jason came home with great news! Mike from his work who was the IT Director quit and gave one weeks notice, but they were going to tell him today was his last day. They nominated Jason as the acting IT Director. So this will hopefully pave the way for Jason to get his job. That would be great if it does happen. I am sure Jason will do great, I think he would make a great boss. Weather is starting to warm up a little in the 40's and rainy later today.

Nik is now sick again!!!

Enough of the sickness in this family! Well I think Nik has now what Rachel had and which I think Jason and I had too which is the flu. This morning Nik was laying on the couch and he was laying there for a long time (1 1/2 hrs) which is unlike him is is always running around. So I went over to him asked him how he felt he said his head hurt. I felt his head and it was warm. His temp was almost 101. I gave hime some tyenol. And that seemed to help he was able to run a few errands with me and was in better spirits. But then as soon as the medicine wore off his fever went back up. I had to do one more errand and Nik fell asleep in the car which Nik never falls asleep in the middle of the day. So he is defiantly not feeling good. Rachel is feeling better. Yesterday she seemed pretty good. They had fun at the egg hunt though it was the fastest egg hunt ever. It was also inside because there was probably 2 feet of snow in Chardon. Nik was upset because Rachel got more eggs than him. My birthday is coming. 31 years old I am getting old. Kim's birthday is on the 15th too,29 for her.

Happy Easter!!!

It should be more like Merry Christmas. We have a couple inches of snow on the ground. In Chardon they say there is over a foot of snow. There is more on the way. Kids got a lot of nice things in thier baskets. They had a hard time finding their baskets this year. Rachel's was behind the treadmill and Nik's was in the dryer.

Getting better

Well Rachel is getting better, she has a low grade temp of 99 and a cough and a stuffy nose. Good thing it was a short week of school because she would of missed a lot. Jason and I are finally better and are starting to work out again. Tonight we are going out to dinner at the new Winking Lizard that opened up in Concord. We are going with my brother, sister and my mom. Its to celebrate all our birthdays. We try to do this every year. Hopefully Rachel will be able to hang in there. I am going to make her take a nap, she gets very tired and does not have much of an appetite. Well Have a nice Easter. We are going to my Aunt Diane's this year. We will have a egg hunt for the kids. Nik had one in school for his Easter party and he loved it. So with the eggs he got he filled them with things from around the house and hid them. Then we had a egg hunt this morning.

Still sick

Rachel is still sick. She woke up this morning with a 104.3 temp. So I took her to the doctor this morning. They ruled out strep. Then he thought it was influenza, did an influenza test that came out negative too. He thinks it is just a viral thing and she just needs lots of rest and fluids. He told her to stay home tomorrow too from school. So Rachel's Easter break has already started. She seems a little better, temp is 101 now with Tylenol.
