Here are more pics from Hocking Hills that I got off my camera phone. We truly had a great time on this vacation except for the heat. We defiantly will go back really soon. The one picture is of Nik on his birthday eating his milkshake!

Nik seemed to like school. I think he needs to get used to being there all day. It was nice having the whole day to myself though a little part of me missed having Nik around. Tomorrow he gets to have computer class and library. Tues he has his swimming class though they did not have it today because the pump broke.

Nik's first full day of kindergarten

 
 

Today is Nik's first full day of school! His bus comes at 7:40 so we woke him up at 6:45. Nik has never been much of a breakfast eater and I even got him sausage because that is what he wanted and we could only get him to eat 2 bites of it. Hopefully once his body gets used to this new schedule he will start eating better. It was such a struggle to get him to eat those 2 bites. He was so excited to go on the school bus. Here is him waiting for the bus. He hopped right on a didn't even care and off he went. He will be home around 3:15.

Nik has his first day of school, he has been all excited all weekend. He could not wait to go. This morning he seemed a little out of it he is not used to getting up and having to eat breakfast right away and having to get ready to leave for school. He has 10 kids in his class 6 boys and 4 girls. Today is just a half day till 11:30 then tomorrow is the full day and he will also ride the bus. Today I stayed with him till 9:30. He seemed a little shy but I think he will be better once I leave because he kept on looking for me, plus he does not know anyone in his class.

I just dropped Rachel off for her first day of 4th grade. She seemed pretty excited, she was happy Hannah was in her class. Though in some of these pictures she does not look too thrilled I don't know whats up with that. I am sure she will have a good day. Though it will be very hot the next couple of days! Nik starts school on Monday though its only a half day and the first hour I stay with him. Then on Tuesday is the first full day and he will ride the bus. He will go to school from 8:15-3:00.

Rachel's 4th grade teacher

Rachel found out who her 4th grade teacher is Mr. Butula, which is the one she wanted. She is very excited. Next Thursday is her first day of school so school pictures are soon to come.

Nik's 6yr old check up

Nik went to the doctor today for his 6 year old check up. He is 48 lbs and 46 1/2" tall. He is 50% for weight and 75% for height compared to other 6 yr old boys. So theres hope that he will be tall and break the small genes from my family! Rachel is on her way to being tall too. She is 4foot 5 inches she is catching up to me quickly. Jason liver results turned out to be a mild case of a fatty liver. So basically it means he needs to loose weight and he can go on cholesterol medicine if needed. He needs to get a physical first. Which will be our next step.

Last of Hocking Hills

Here are some pics of the Rock House and also of Cantwell Cliffs that we visited on Friday as we were leaving. So back to normal. Jason and I are celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary today!!! We are going out tonight. in about 2 week the kids are going to go back to school. Rachel starts the 23rd Nik starts the 27th.

More Boating Lake Logan

Here is a nice picture of Lake Logan. They also had a beach where you could go swimming. I think it was just to hot for the fishing!

Hocking Hills boating and fishing in Lake Logan

On Thursday we went fishing and boating on a boat on Lake Logan. It was a lot of fun, though very hot. Rachel caught the first and only fish. Rachel did a lot of fishing but Nik did not he did not have a lot of patience to sit there and wait. We all took turns steering the boat. Captain Jason did pretty good for never driving a boat though docking was a little tricky, luckily there were no other boats near by.

Nik's 6th Birthday in Hocking Hills

We celebrated Nik's 6th birthday in Hocking Hills. Rachel got Nik some army guys, we got Nik a shirt and his ultimate gift his Nintendo DS Lite with a couple of games one being the new Mario Bros. He was so excited!!! Nik wanted cupcakes for his birthday so that was how we celebrated with 6 of them. Then for dinner we went to a barbecue place and Nik had ribs and they came out to sing happy birthday to him and gave him a birthday dessert. It was very nice, Nik actually got embarrassed when they came out to sing!.
