Cooler days

Wow the days all of a sudden have gotten cooler. The highs are in the low 70's the last two days. Nik thinks its fall because of the chill in the air and a tree in our front yard is dropping a few leaves for some reason. I told him that fall is not till the end of Sept. We meet Nik's teachers tomorrow and check out his school. His teachers will be the same Mrs. Root and Mrs. Leppert. They were really great with him. The school and the church connected to it will look different they added on a new church and are remodeling the preschool classrooms and adding on a parent room so the parents will have somewhere to wait when picking up their children. I am sure it will be nice. They are giving tours of the new parts tomorrow evening. The whole thing is supposed to be completed in October. Here is a cute picture of Nikolaus with daddies do rag on. Danielle's house

We went to Danielle's house yesterday. The kids had fun playing together. We had pizza and grandma's plum cake which was very good. Played some cards. Rachel is at her dads this week. She goes to school 4 days this week they get off Friday for the Geauga County Fair.
In these pictures the red haired boy is Ethan he is almost 3 that is Shannon's youngest and the little boy on Rachel's lap is Devin who is 2 and is Danielle's. This is Nik's last week before school starts. Thursday night we go to an orientation for his school. Well have a great day!

Nikolaus is a man!

Well yesterday I was giving Nikolaus a bath. After he was done and I was drying him off I was drying off under his armpits and I noticed a rash that kinda of looked like pimples. Nikolaus was so excited he said" Yes I have pimples now I am a man." Just wanted to share the funny with you.
Today we are just sticking around the house. Jason went out to help his friend Matt build some computers. Hopefully later when he gets home we will go out to dinner at Longhorn. Jason now likes steak. When I meet Jason he would not eat steak or any kind of meat. He likes the stuff more than I do now. Tomorrow we are going over his cousin Danielle's house for a picnic. I will make sure to take pictures Grandma is suppose to be there and I am sure Shannon and her boys. Lots of boys in Jason's family. Well have a great weekend.

School days

Rachel seemed to like her first day of school. She came home with a headache. She gets very stressed out but after the first week they go away. She seemed to like Mrs. Kramer but one of her rules is neatness, which Rachel should not have a problem with since she is very neat. That is the one thing her teacher from 2nd grade always said. Also this year they will get a letter grade in every subject. Last year they got a letter grade for math and reading. She was also very excited because one of her best friends is in her class this year, last year she was not. Here are some cute pics I took of Nik yesterday he was just being a goof I think he liked the mommy and me time. The one pic is of his dinosaur collection that he wanted me to take a picture of. Rachel's 1st day of 3rd grade

Wow I can't believe Rachel's first day is today. She started the 3rd grade. She was all excited and right before she got a little nervous. She packed her own lunch last night she was so excited. I am sure she will be fine but I always get nervous for them too because I remember how much I hated school. 2 more weeks than Nik goes he doesn't want to go to school. Well have a great day and I will let you know tomorrow how Rachel did.

Lake County Fair

We went to the Lake County Fair yesterday. We had lots of fun. Ate too much fair food, the kids rode some rides and saw some animals. There was a very friendly horse as you see in the picture that tried to drink Jason's drink and give him lots of kisses. It was nice weather a little cooler which was nice for a change. Started putting the kids to bed earlier so they get used to the new time for bed before school starts. Have a great day!

Cleaning Day

Today was cleaning day, since it rained most of the day. Nikolaus cleaned his room but he did not want to do it so he needed a lot of help, Jason got very frustrated with him because of his laziness. We did get his room done it looks pretty good. Rachel did pretty good she is still working on it there was a lot to clean. This is a cute picture of the kids.
Izzy is in the picture too he really wanted to be in it. Izzy is our 1 1/2 year old black pug.
Also we found out today Rachel is having Mrs. Kramer for 3rd grade. Mrs. Kramer was my 3rd grade teacher how weird is that. Well have a great rest of your weekend!

Ready for School

Well we are all ready for school. We got everything. Rachel convinced me to buy another pair of shoes for her. She is going to have more shoes than me soon. Her feet grew alot this summer she is in a 2 or a 3 already. This weekend we plan on going to the Lake County Fair probaly on Sunday because its not suppose to rain. Well I am off to go grocery shopping, which I hate. Actually its not so bad I go to Giant Eagle and they have the Eagle's Nest for the kids which they love and I love because I can shop in peace and quiet. Have a great day!

Look how big!!!

I can't blieve how big Nikolaus looks in this picture. I took him to the doctor the other day he was 42 lbs. 3'7". They said he is doing great they noticed some hyperactvity which they will monitor. They said a child of 5 should be able to sit still which Nik does not.
In this picture this is how we found Nik one morning when Jason & I woke up. Nik likes to sleep walk.
Rachel is here for some extra time Mark is in Alaska with his dad. Its always nice having Rachel for some extra time it makes Nik very happy, he hates when Rachel leaves. School starts soon for Rachel Aug 24th and she'll be in the 3rd grade at Maple in Chardon. Wow!!! And Nik is going to preschool again he will be going to Hope Ridge Preschool. Trying to finish up the school shopping today, I am almost done. I will be posting pics of that soon. Have a great day!!!

Nikolaus's 5th Birthday!!

Here are some pics of Nikolaus's 5th Birthday we had a great time. We went to Chuck E Cheese and later had cake and ice cream and opened up presents. The scooter is from Jason & I. The bike he got from my dad. This is my first time doing this but I thought would be a great way to share pics with the family and friends of the kids and keep everyone updated on our family.
