Blood pressure update

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my blood pressure. It was 150/90. He gave me a complete physical and took a very good family history. They put me on blood pressure medicine called Lisinopril. Since I have a strong family history of high blood pressure. Both of my grandmothers have it. I go back in 3 weeks for a recheck. Otherwise I am healthy. We are getting a tread mill so I hope to loose some weight. Since I quit smoking I have gained a little weight and he said that would raise my blood pressure too.

Pancake Breakfast

Nik had a pancake breakfast at his school on Tuesday. They wore a chefs hat and apron and served us. Nik was not to thrilled with wearing the hat and apron as you seen on his face in the 2nd picture. Jason's urine test came back and no copper. The next step is they want to test his liver enzymes once a month for three months. So this means no alcohol which Jason was not to thrilled with. Its not that Jason drinks alot but every once in awhile he likes to have some beer or wine. Rachel is doing good at school they now want them writing in cursive all the time. She is getting too big.

Blizzard of 2007

The Blizzard of 2007!! We have 20 inches of snow on the ground out here in Painesville/Mentor area. It is crazy out there in some places the snow drifts are up to four feet. The one house I pet sit at the driveway had snow up to my thighs. It was insane. Well Happy Valentines Day. Jason got me some pretty red roses and a card and Nik got me a card too. The boys also took me out to a nice lunch at TGI Fridays. It was really nice. I am sure everyone will be back to school tomorrow. Jason even got a day off from work today.

New Look

I changed the look of the blog. Let me know what you think!! I love green. As probably most of you know it is my favorite color. I have no pics for today. There is a tournament for karate in Independence Ohio on March 31st. Nik really wants to go. We told him if he is good the next couple of weeks he will be able to go. Yesterday we had dinner at Danielle's house. We had a very nice time. The kids played nice. And I got to hold baby Collin, he actually was awake this time. He is such a good baby. It is a little bit warmer now the kids ended up have both Monday and Tuesday off from school. I sure was ready for them to go back on Wednesday. Have a nice weekend.

BRRRRRR!!!!

It is cold out there!!! Its is about 0 degrees and with the wind

it is -19 degrees. They already canceled school for Rachel and Nikolaus. Here are some pictures of Rachel with her new TV. She loves it. Its a 14" and a flat screen. It has a really nice picture. Jason went back to the liver specialist and his blood work showed elevated levels of protein which we knew and elevated levels of copper which we did not know. Next they want him to do a 24 hour pee sample which he did yesterday and we will drop it off tomorrow. I go to the doctor soon too. When I went for my yearly exam my blood pressure was very elevated they thought it was from the nervousness of the exam and did it after the exam too and it was even higher. My blood pressure was 150/100. So my OB/GYN wants me to go to my regular doctor to get it checked out. I go Feb 22nd to this doctor my mom saw for her high cholesterol. Jason and I are falling apart. Well on more better news Feb 1st it was one year since Jason and I quit smoking. Yeah. I feel so much better not doing it. I really can't stand cigarette smoke now. I am so proud of Jason and I!!!! Well stay warm!!!
