More Christmas Day and My Ultimate Gift!!!

Here are some more pictures from Christmas Morning. Jason got a dremel tool kit which he has been wanting from me. And I got an anniversary band as you can see in the picture. It matches perfectly with my wedding ring. I have wanted one of these but thought I would get it many years down the road. Well I was totally surprised that I cried when I opened it. He wrapped it in Nik's lego box so I had no clue what it was. I just need to get it sized. Everyone seemed to have a great Chritmas!!

Update

Update on Jason's liver. They could not see the liver very good with the ultrasound so they want to do a cat-scan. I don't know yet when he is having it done, I am waiting for a phone call back from the doctor. Nik had karate yesterday he did really good. I praticed with him before hand because Jason was at work. I was amazed at how strong his punches are now. He kept on knocking me over. He told me today his goal is to get a orange belt soon, he only needs 2 more stripes and he can test for it. That will be a grand day. He gets so excited when he gets his stripes that he just stares at them. I will keep you updated on Jason. No pictures today.

Burkey Christmas Party

Yesterday we had the Burkey Christmas Party. All the great grand kids are getting so big. Nik seemed to have a good time. There were 3 or 4 boys that were his 2nd cousins that he played with and seemed to have a lot of fun. It was so nice yesterday that they were able to play outside on the playground. Santa came and Nik got a transformer though they don't make them like they used too. It keeps on falling apart. Rachel got a jewelry making kit that she can make earrings and bracelets and such. Grandma Burkey looked good she uses a walker now to get around. The first few pictures are of the great grand kids. I can't believe Christmas is almost here. Nik is very excited this year. On Christmas Eve we are going to my Grandma Comer's like we always do for dinner and Santa always comes for the kids. Then on Christmas day we go to my moms and dads which we will split up. Well if I don't write again till after Christmas, everyone have a nice Christmas!! I sure I will have lots of pictures after the holidays.

Jason's Birthday

Jason's birthday was on Saturday. He said he had a great birthday. We went out to dinner at Bravo's just me and him. Nik was at grandma Rosie's house for a sleepover. Jason got a gift card for Itunes for his Ipod and a couple shirts, and a DVD of the UFC. He liked everything. We had a cake on Sunday when Rachel came back. I made an angel food cake with this strawberry sauce. It was very good. Jason got his cholesterol rechecked the other day it was 260 but the also noticed liver enzymes in his blood. He went to the doctor today and they said they need to figure out what is going on with the liver enzymes first so they scheduled a liver ultrasound for Wednesday. Once they figure that out they can work on the cholesterol. I think Jason's has diabetes. I guess on his dads side he has a strong family history. Well I hope he is ok. We new something has been going on for awhile. This week is Nik's last week of school. I am helping out with his Christmas party this year. I am trying to get all my shopping done just not enough time.
The first picture Nik doesn't look to happy.

Christmas tree

Yesterday we put up our Christmas tree. I think this will be the last year for this tree we have had it since Jason and I were first together which is 7 years. We had the tree all decorated and it decided to fall down a half hour later with everything on it. One of the legs broke off. Jason super glued it back together and it seems to be holding. Got some snow over night about a inch here. So busy trying to finish up the Christmas shopping I am almost done just a few more little things to get. I am one of the parents doing Nik's Christmas party for school so I am trying to get that together for next week on the 14th. That's his last day of school until next year. Jason 32nd birthday is this Saturday. We are getting so old. I never could of imagined myself in my 30's when I was little but I am. I guess its not so bad I am defiantly the wiser. Nik is loving his karate class so much. He gets so proud of himself and I have seen a change in his attitude. Part of their oath is about respecting your parents and instructors. They stress this in class how you should listen to your parents and help them out and at times Nik seems to understand this. This was just a 4 week trail. We have decided to buy a membership for 2 years. Nik really seems dedicated to this and he said his goal is to get a black belt. I am glad we found something he loves and is making a positive influence on him. Well have a nice day.
