Karate

Well Nik had his first karate lesson today. He loved it! He did really good we were so proud. I think he will do this for awhile. He learned how to punch the right way and learned some jumps. Rachel has had a cold the last couple of days she seems better today. It was so nice today so we cleaned the leaves out of the gutters and did some other things outside. Tomorrow we are going into the attic to see if there are any bats up there and to make sure it is sealed up so they can't get in. Jason sealed up the chimney there were big gaps on the sides of it and I think that was how they were getting in. Well have a nice weekend.

So proud

Well I had Rachel's conferences with Mrs. Kramer yesterday. She had nothing but great things to say. She got another 95% on her Social Studies test. In October they took a reading achievement test Rachel scored above average. Mrs. Kramer said we should be very proud of her work and what she has accomplished. We enrolled Nik in Karate classes he went up today to get his uniform and learn a few moves. He starts his first class on Friday, he seems really excited and I think this will help him out a lot with focusing and sitting still. I don't have any pictures this time. Have a nice Thanksgiving everyone.

Sleep overs

Well Rachel and Nik had a sleep over in Nik's room yesterday. They were so excited to do it. Here is a cute pictutre of them sleeping they are so peaceful when they sleep. Tonight Rachel is sleeping over Auntie Kim's in PA.
I am sure she will have lots of fun. Rachel has her first big project in school. Mrs. Kramer picked out a Christmas book for each child and they have to write an essay and do a diorama for it. They have 3 weeks to do it. I never remember 3rd grade being so hard I guess I blocked it out. Nik is doing good in school though lately he has been acting out at home. I think he is having a hard time when Rachel leaves for her dads. Well things will be busy this coming week with Thanksgiving and my pet sitting. This is one of my busy times of the year. Have a nice weekend.

So proud

Well I had a meeting yesterday with Nik's teacher from Painesville City schools and it went really well. She said he is doing wonderfully and that at the beginning of Jan. a year from when we started she can stop coming. She feels that Nik is doing great and should have no problems. I have noticed such a big change in him since last year. He just needed the extra year to mature. She said if I would of sent him to kindergarten this year he would of been at the bottom of his class. He is now prepared enough that next year when he goes he should be at the top of his class. I am so proud of him. Here is the kids school pictures I just got them back. They turned out great, they both look so big. Don't worry I will either send you one or put one in a Christmas card. Have a nice weekend.

Great grades

Rachel got her report card back last week and she did great! I am so proud of her. She got all A's and B's. This was the first time she got a letter grade for everything. Jason's mom made it back safely to Alaska. Nik doesn't have school today because of voting his preschool is one of the voting places, so they decided not to have school for safety reasons. On Thursday I meet with Nik's teacher from Painesville City Schools to see how he is doing. Today is going to be rainy though warmer this week. I put a picture up of her report card its hard to see though. Have a great week.

trick or treating

Trick or treating was a lot of fun. The kids got so much candy this year. Nik did really good he did not trip once and drop all his candy like past years. The both had parties in school. Nobody reconized Nik with his black hair. Last night was the last night we saw Jason's mom we went to Applebees for dinner. It was nice. The kids will miss them. We had a really good time this year. The kids now have their own email addresses. They love getting emails and sending them back they think it is so neat. Well I can't believe its November already. Have a good week.
