Nik's speech

Nik did his speech in school today, he had to pick something that was special to him. He picked his brown belt in karate. He did excellent! He was very confident and I was very proud. Looks like a big snow storm is coming I just hope it is not too much.

My first apple pie

The other day I made my first homemade apple pie, it looks really nice but when we went to eat it it was a little soupy, I don't think I added enough flour, or I might of used the wrong apples. It still tasted good though. I will try again. Here is a picture of Rachel in her Halloween parade from school. Everyone is doing good. I have a cold that just won't go away, and we have had are first snowfall. Nik is doing good in wrestling, karate, and soccer. He is getting better everyday. I can't believe next week is Thanksgiving, boy time is flying by. I have signed up for my classes next semester, I am going to attempt two, we will see how that goes. I am taking Spanish I and College Algebra.

Nik took his brown belt test in karate last night. He did great. Before we went he was crying and very nervous, thinking he would not pass because he could not remember his form. But when it came time to do it he was fine. I have never seen Nik so nervous about anything in his 7 yrs. of living. He really enjoys karate very much.
He is on his way to a black belt, I think he has 6 more belts to go. Rachel got her report card all B's and C's. This year she is finding out is a little harder and there is more work.

Nik got his report card the other day. He did very good on his actual work he got 3's and 4's but his behavior needs a little work he got 1's and 2's. Though we knew this and have been working with him. He just seems to be having a hard time making the right choices this year and trying not to follow others who are doing wrong. He had his first indoor soccer game today, he played the best he has ever played. He also started wrestling practices and is doing well, they really work you hard and he has a lot of learning to do. On Monday Nik goes for his brown belt in karate. This will be his first karate kid test, he has to know his form by heart. I am sure he will do fine.

Wednesday Grandma Spotz and Martina and Pierre took most of the grandkids to see a movie. Austin, Kaleb, Rachel, Nik, Ethan and Devyn were there. We all had a nice time.
