Nik got his first report card and boy did he do excellent. He got all 3 and 4's. 4 meaning excellent and 3 meaning good. We are very proud of him and he is off to a good start in school. He got a star in karate for having a very good report card. Tonight we are going over Danielle's for a game night. Wednesday is Halloween. Nik is Jack Sparrow and Rachel is a dead bride. Sunday we will carve the pumpkins when Rachel comes home from her dads house. I think Monday night we plan on going bowling with Grandma Spotz. Next Sunday Grandma goes back to Alaska. More pictures soon to come from Halloween.
Nik had his first speech today at school. They had to pick something that was special to them. His special thing was his karate trophy. He did so good, we were very proud of him. He looked a little nervous before but it did not show when he was up there.
The grey cats was Rex the cabin cat. He was the most friendly cat I have ever meet. They allowed us to let him in the cabin and he was always hanging around waiting to be pet. Those are some pics of the Cantwell Cliffs it was very pretty. As Rachel said you felt like you were in a deep bowl it made you feel all out of sorts being down there.
Here is pics of our cabin. It was very nice. It had two bedrooms and a pull out couch. There was a hot tub on the back porch and they had a fire place too. There were also many trails around our cabin that we could use for hiking. It was a very pretty time of year to come.
Tomorrow we are leaving for Hocking Hills. We are staying to Sunday. We are going with Grandma Spotz. We are all excited and can't wait to do some hiking and see the pretty scenry. Everyone is doing great. Rachel is getting good grades and really enjoying girl scouts this year. They have a new leader and are doing a lot of fun things. Nik is doing great in school and karate. He is going to do the tournament next month and is going to spar for the first time in a tournament. Lots of pictures to come of our trip.
Today went to the Natural History Musuem with Grandma Spotz. We had a lot of fun looking at the exhibits. Nik really liked the dinosaur bones. We got to see a live show with animals such as snakes, tarantula, and an opposum. They also had other animals like deer and birds, and racoons to look at outside.
Nik got his school pictures back and boy does he look so big gone is the baby face. He had the hugest smile. Nik had his conferences yesterday. Very good things to hear from his teacher. She said he is doing well and is very funny to have in class. Sometimes it takes more than once for him to listen. But they are working on it. We told her about Nik great math abilities and she is going to help him with it. She says it is amazing that he can add numbers like that. She says Nik has a lot of potential and is a very bright little boy. Grandma Spotz is here! She got in safely late last night. Everyone is excited to see her, she is coming over this evening. I can't believe how warm its been it is about 83 and tomorrow could reach 88.
